At a Glance

Ashcreek is a neighborhood located in Southwest section of Portland situated East of 217 and West of I-5 and is boarded by neighborhoods Maplewood to the North, Multnomah and Crestwood to the East, Far Southwest to the South, and Garden Home to the West.  It is only a few minutes to downtown Portland, Tigard, and Beaverton.

The neighborhood has something for everyone architecturally with a wide variety of homes from Stately Classic, Cottages, Craftmans, English Tudors to Modern Architecture.  The population is approx 4700 with the home ownership rate at 85%.

Ashcreek also has excellent schools, area parks and is also close to the Southwest Community Center & Pool.  For the golfer the Portland Golf Club and Redtail Golf Course are close by, and for the shopper the area offers the Multnomah Village district with its cafes and specialty shops, plus Washington Square Mall which is only a few minutes away.

• The Ashcreek Neighborhhood Association is very involved in its neighborhood. There is a currently a plan for developing an Outreach Program for a Community Garden at Dickinson Park.

Parks & Recreation in Ashcreek

Arnold Park has 5 parks and greenspaces in the surrounding area.  Dickinson and Ashcreek Natural Area are both located within the Ashcreek neighborhood.

• Ashcreek Natural Area is 5.15 acres and hosts natural foliage and wildlif and has hiking trails to enjoy.
• The Southwest Coummunity Center & Pool - Includes basketball court – indoor, community center, fitness room, gymnasium, kitchen – reservable, meeting room – reservable, party room – reservable, rock climbing wall, swimming pool – indoor, weight room, and Wireless Internet Access.
• Portland Golf Club - A private 18 hole course enjoyable for players of all levels of abilities. PGC's membership is comprised of business, civic, athletic and social leaders who value the ability to congregate in this very unique setting.
• Redtail Golf Course - A 18 hole course open to the public, newly renovated and upgraded to championship status, is a challenge for golfers of all levels. Rolling hills, picturesque water hazards and tree-lined fairways greet you on this easily walked, player-friendly course. Featuring four sets of tees from 5601 to 7107 yards from the back tees. RedTail holds a course rating of 74.4 and a slope of 136. They have 45 bunkers and six lakes which come into play on ten holes.
