Hayhurst is a early pioneer neighborhood full of history in the Southwest section of Portland bordered by neighborhoods Raleigh Hills and Beaverton on the West, Bridlemile on the North, Hillsdale on the East and Maplewood and Multnomah on the South. The community of Vermont Hills lies in the Southwestern part of the neighborhood. Alpenrose Dairy founded in 1916 is located in the neighborhood. Not just a dairy Alpenrose has a Velodrome track one of only 20 tracks in the United States and was built to host the 1967 National Championships. The diary also has Alpenrose Field and Dairyville for locals to enjoy.

Portland Golf Club - A private 18 hole course enjoyable for players of all levels of abilities. PGC's membership is comprised of business, civic, athletic and social leaders who value the ability to congregate in this very unique setting.
Redtail Golf Course - A 18 hole course open to the public, newly renovated and upgraded to championship status, is a challenge for golfers of all levels. Rolling hills, picturesque water hazards and tree-lined fairways greet you on this easily walked, player-friendly course. Featuring four sets of tees from 5601 to 7107 yards from the back tees. RedTail holds a course rating of 74.4 and a slope of 136. They have 45 bunkers and six lakes which come into play on ten holes.
40 Mile Loop - The 40 mile loop is a partially completed greenway trail that loops around the Portland Metro area and passes through Hayhurst.
