Alpenrose Dairy founded in 1916 is located in the neighborhood. Not just a dairy Alpenrose has a Velodrome track one of only 20 tracks in the United States and was built to host the 1967 National Championships. The diary also has Alpenrose Field and Dairyville for locals to enjoy.
