Maplewood is a neighborhood in Southwest Portland that is bordered on the North by Hayhurst, on the West by Multnomah, on the South by Ashcreek and to the West is Garden Home and Raleigh Hills.  Maplewood is a quiet residential neighborhood with a wide variety of homes styles and ages, has excellent schools and a full rich pioneer history like much of the Southwest Portland neighborhoods. The population of Maplewood is approximately 2558 with an 82% home ownership rate. The trendy Multnomah Village and the Southwest Community Center & Pool is just minutes away making this an attractive neighborhood for people.

Parks & Community Centers in Maplewood

• 93 acre Gabriel Park has baseball, softball, and soccer fields, basketball, volleyball and lighted tennis courts, skatepark, playground, dog off-leash area.
• April Hill Park - 9.79 Acre park which includes disabled access play area, paths – paved, paths – unpaved, picnic tables, playground, soccer field, and softball field.
• The Southwest Community Center & Pool, situated on a corner of Gabriel Park, has two basketball courts, an aquatics center, dance and fitness rooms, and the Sprout Academy, a "green" pre-school.
• Portland Golf Club - A private 18 hole course enjoyable for players of all levels of abilities. PGC's membership is comprised of business, civic, athletic and social leaders who value the ability to congregate in this very unique setting.
• Redtail Golf Course - A 18 hole course open to the public, newly renovated and upgraded to championship status, is a challenge for golfers of all levels. Rolling hills, picturesque water hazards and tree-lined fairways greet you on this easily walked, player-friendly course. Featuring four sets of tees from 5601 to 7107 yards from the back tees. RedTail holds a course rating of 74.4 and a slope of 136. They have 45 bunkers and six lakes which come into play on ten holes.
• Alpenrose Dairy founded in 1916 is located in the neighborhood. Not just a dairy Alpenrose has a Velodrome track one of only 20 tracks in the United States and was built to host the 1967 National Championships. The diary also has Alpenrose Field and Dairyville for locals to enjoy.
• Gardenhome Recreation Center - Provides recreational programs and classes.
