South Burlingame is a neighborhood in Southwest Portland and is bordered by Multnomah to the West, Hillsdale and South Portland to the North, River View Cemetery to the East, and Markham, Marshall Park, and Collins View to the South. South Burlingame was founded in the early 1900's and currently has a population of 1279 with a 78% home ownership rate. Most of the homes were built in the 1920's to 70's with some newer construction in recent years. Styles range from Old Portland style cottages and bungalows to larger custom homes. South Burlingame is a quiet neighborhood with easy access to I-5 with a mix of residential and business areas. It has a rural laid back feel with locally owned restaurants, bars, and shops. It is also close to the trendy Multnomah Village.

Marshall Park 25.88 Acres Marshall Park was donated to the City of Portland by F.C and Addie Marshall in 1951. Marshall Park is primarily a natural area with hiking trails. Within the park is a waterfall, a small stone bridge over Tyron Creek and a playground which sits on what was once the home site of the Marshal summer home.
Tyron Creek State Park is located only minutes from downtown Markahm and is Oregon's only state park within the Portland Metro Area. This 645 acre park offers hiking and bird watching along the Trillium Trail, and Tyron Creek has one of the only runs of Steelhead Trout in the area. The Arnold Park Log Home is also located within the Tyron Creek State Park and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was built by John Arnold between 1907 and 1917.
