Bridlemile at a Glance
Nestled on the west side of the panoramic southwest hills, the Bridlemile neighborhood is roughly bordered on the north and south by Patton Road and Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, and on the east and west by Dosch Road and Scholls Ferry Road. People are attracted to the Bridlemile neighborhood for its excellent schools, comfortable homes, and proximity to downtown, Oregon Health Sciences University and the Sunset Corridor.
Most of the Bridlemile area homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s, with more recent homes filling in open parcels since then. Large homes on large, private lots are common, but a broad range of housing choices exists. The Bridlemile neighborhood surrounds the elementary school of the same name, which together with adjacent Hamilton Park serve as a neighborhood gathering place.
Bridlemile residents tend to be very active. Families with school age children enjoy a very engaged parent community surrounding the schools, youth sports and other youth activities. People without school age children will find many community organizations and activities, as well as neighbors happy to just join in a walk.
